Module 2 Chapter 7
Developing stitched textures - another interested chapter, with an opportunity to use beautiful yarns and colours.
My final sample - using a design source to inspire texture ... should I have chosen plant material? The module is entitled 'How does your garden grow', but it is also about the patterns and textures of nature. Whenever I walk on a beach I am fascinated by the patterns created by tides, waves, the wind, etc. so I hope I will be forgiven for choosing the textures of a Norfolk beach, which, at first glance, may appear grey and dull, but closer inspection and time reveal a multitude of colours and textures truly designed by nature.
