Chapter 8 page 30 plus photo

Another three samples.  I like sample 9 but the wadding effect doesn't show up too well once scanned. I am thinking of using this idea for one of the 'sea' pieces, with spray or foam over.

In the photo below are four ideas for shape/size of the piece, bluetacked to my wall.


A good idea to see which shape appeals. I like the long narrow shape on the right, and the wide narrow shape at the centre bottom.  I think this bottom shape replicates the patterns of the waves and sea patterns.

Module 3 Chapter 8 pages 13-22

Proving difficult to come up with an abstract image that meets my criteria.  I realise that although I like the more abstract image, and strive to produce these, I lean more easily towards a realistic piece.  I so want to learn how to achieve this, and have tried a number of different ideas ... as follows:

Module 3 Chapter 8 Planning for the first assessment piece

I feel like saying "at last!"  I am excited, and quite nervous, about this first assessment piece. But at last a chance to use all that I have learned (and that's a lot) to produce a complete finished piece of work.

One of the important lessons - the importance of taking time over planning.  So I am enjoying this chapter, learning about the project and learning about myself.
